The Story:

A shooting star falls to Earth in the Kingdom Macronesia.

King Richard VIII finds a tiny, sentient person in a microspacecraft when he uses a powerful microscope to study the stardust. Professor Nanoroo arrived to Earth from the planet Nano in order to study human biotechnology. He speaks with “Earthlings” out of curiosity, asking them hundreds of questions about their lives.

Nanoroo meets yeasts that cause bread and beer, bacteria that cause illness and those that maintain health, and fungi that produce antibacterial medications. He has a lot of adventures, saves the king’s brother from a heart attack, checks King Richard’s blood sugar levels and the health of his racehorses, observes plants that ward off insects, and consumes the well-known, vitamin-rich “Golden Rice.”
