Ed Nicol MD, MBA, DAvMed, FRCP, FRCR, FRAeS, FACC, FSCCT, RAF is a Royal Air Force consultant cardiologist who works as an honorary consultant at both the Royal Brompton and Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals. He is an honorary senior lecturer at both Imperial College,
London (Cardiology) and Keele University (Healthcare Leadership) where he gained his Doctorate and MBA respectively. He has published over 120 original papers, book chapters and a book covering cardiovascular CT, cardiology, military and aviation medicine, and healthcare leadership.

He sits on the SCCT Board of Directors as Vice President, he is Chair of the UK cardiovascular imaging Council, is the UK Royal College of Radiologists’ Travelling Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging and a  past President of the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging and British Society of Cardiovascular CT.

He is an Editor-in-Chief of both Royal College of Physicians’ journals, Clinical Medicine and Future Healthcare Journal and an associate editor of the RCR Clinical Radiology journal.

He was the programme committee chair for SCCT London 2018 and is for SCCT Dublin 2019.

Dr. R Dev “If you have read Ernsting’s Aviation and Space Medicine 5th Ed. then this is going to act like the Watson to Sherlock for you. The perfect sidekick. The book sums up major portions (and even more) of Ernsting’s in a relatively simpler way.
Point-wise formatting of text makes it easier to read.
For a resident in Aerospace Medicine, it’s sort of a must have for this allows you to revise the subject very fast (especially when you are up for exams)
Like all the books available on the subject, this too has its flaws. Aeromedical concerns pertaining to women in Aviation as always, have not been deliberated upon and that is a bummer. Similarly, space medicine is restricted to a single chapter thereby necessitating reading of other books like Clement Gillies or Michael Barratt.
Otherwise, a must have. And at a price of ~₹2500, its a good deal!”

But Robbins Pathology is definitely a textbook I read through because not only is it easy to understand difficult medical concepts, but the authors throw in fun comments. It does an amazing job integrating cell biology, histology, biochemistry, and anatomy with disease pathologies. Although it is a relatively longer textbook, it provides chock full of information that pops up on multiple question banks (UWorld, Amboss, Kaplan). I plan on using this book to study for the Pathology NBME, as well as the NBME comprehensive and STEP1.”

Hätte ich mich nicht so sehr darauf gefreut, in dieses Buch einzutauchen, hätte ich es umgehend wieder zurückgeschickt. Da ich sonst mit den Amazon-Lieferungen grundsätzlich zufrieden bin, werte ich das Malheur als “Ausrutscher” und steige, was Buchsendungen angeht, (noch) nicht aus. Leider gab es keine Möglichkeit, das Feedback auf einer anderen “Amazon-Plattform” zu geben. Deshalb geschieht es hier.”
