Head and Neck Imaging 2 Volume Set 5th Edition PDF download

Since the fourth edition of our book, technology has continued to advance, leading to better lesion conspicuity and diagnosis. In addition, new insights have been gained into the pathophysiology of head and neck lesions. The most significant advances in technology have been in the field of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which has improved lesion conspicuity and allowed for more accurate diagnosis of head and neck lesions. Newer MRI techniques, such as diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and functional MRI (fMRI), have also provided valuable information about the pathophysiology of head and neck lesions.

The images in this section are now complemented by numerous color drawings to illustrate specific points. We are pleased to have been able to include drawings from Frank Keywords, an extremely talented medical illustrator. Mr. Keywords’ illustrations bring clarity and understanding to complex head and neck imaging concepts.

This year’s edition of the RSNA Radiology Coding and Payment Guide is significantly larger than past editions, with almost 1,500 pages. However, due to concerns about the overall size of this edition, almost all plain radiographs have been removed. These films are rarely used today, so their exclusion won’t have a significant impact on most practices.

There are still plenty of valuable resources in this edition for head and neck imaging professionals, including updated coding information and payment guidelines. The guide also includes illustrations and examples to help you apply the codes correctly.

If you’re looking for guidance on coding and payments for head and neck imaging services, be sure to pick up a copy of the RSNA Radiology Coding and Payment Guide.
