The outside of the book is beautiful! I was shocked when I opened the book. I was very disappointed. The first page that I opened to was a photo of a women showing her pubic hair shaved into the letter G. I thought no big deal, I will just rip the one page out. Let’s just say that wasn’t the only inappropriate photo. That is not fashion! Yes I am talking about the Tom Ford coffee table book. I wish someone had posted a review like this before I made my purchase. If I would have seen it, I never would have bought it.

When ordering this coffee table book I didn’t realize that there would be full frontal nudity of both men and woman. I have 2 small children the book is easily accessible because it is out on my coffee table. I didn’t even look through it until recently and discovered this. I understand art but there needs to be some sort of warning for people who are wanting this as a decorative piece. I’m very disappointed and there is NO way I am displaying this in my home with small children. I would send it back if I could but I guess I missed the return window.

Contacted seller for price adjustment, but they wouldn’t honor it plus stated if I returned for lower price, I’d be charged up to a 20% non-defective Restocking fee. Then removed the item immediately afterwards

As someone who has an affinity for collecting fashion and fashion adjacent coffee table books, this was simply a no brainer. Tom Ford’s career has spanned decades, and his unapologetic approach to fashion and culture might shock some, but for others it is a welcomed differentiation to the norm. A wonderfully curated piece of literature.

 

For those who gripe about having a “disclaimer” for the nudity, I ask did you not KNOW who the subject of this book was? Ford is no stranger to a controversy and some of his print ads have been banned and removed from periodicals during his tenure at Gucci, YSL, and his namesake brand. There truly are only about 7-10 pages in the ENTIRE 400+ page book that could be deemed inappropriate… and I’m certain your children have seen worse online. Don’t like it, invest your money somewhere else.
