I bought this on Kindle but found that studying from that format is fraught with difficulty. If you want to learn this material, buy the spiral-bound version which you can highlight and jump around in. You’ll have to go back and forth to the review questions at the back, and that’s a pain with the Kindle format. The material in the book is first-rate and well presented. See you on the air.

I highly suggest you do NOT buy the kindle version of this book. I can’t read any of the diagrams and many of the charts easily, particularly the schematics section of the book. I bought this to refresh some old knowledge since I’m already a licensed HAM radio operator, and I cannot suggest highly enough to purchase the PAPERBACK version of this book to prepare for your exam. Good luck and try to have fun, HAM radio is awesome!
