Brukner & Khan’s Clinical Sports Medicine 4th Edition PDF Free Download

This completely updated print and online resource is unashamedly founded on the previous three editions. To date, this text has satisfied more than 80 000 clinicians and provided core material for students who focus on the care of active people in Australia, New Zealand. Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Japanese readers have their own translation. The overwhelming support for this clinically based textbook means we are particularly indebted to our partners in all previous editions. Specific thanks for the fourth edition go to chapter co~authors listed with their affiliations on pages xxxvi-xli. Expert co-authors provide the crucial innovation and timeliness that Clinical Sports Medicine users demand. We are both humbled and privileged to be sharing cover authorship with seven amazing colleagues and friends-Drs Cook, Crossley, McConnell, Bam, Blair, McCrory, and Noakes (ladies first, of course). We would love to have listed more names on the cover but the designer overruled us on that one! A further 109 co-authors made this book happen. It takes a community to create Clinical Sports Medicine-and we are grateful for every single member of that hardworking international community. Because this edition fully embraces digital media, we especially acknowledge those co-authors who contributed to this innovation. Particular thanks go to Dr Mark Hutchinson, and the team in Chicago, for providing critical and substantial content for the online masterclasses. Vicky Earle has gained international recognition for her artwork; thank you for continuing to translate clinical innovation in ways that jump to life for users. The University of British Columbia (Department of Family Practice-Faculty of Medicine as well as Faculty of Education) provided essential support (KK), as did the Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre, The University of Melbourne and Liverpool Football Club (PB). Clinical Sports Medicine benefits from the continuity, consistency, and integration honed over two decades, and from the expertise and freshness of cutting-edge international chapter authors. We seek out the world’s best and we appreciate their responding to our calls! It has been a pleasure to work with every member of the Clinical Sports Medicine 4th edition team.

Dr. R Dev “If you have read Ernsting’s Aviation and Space Medicine 5th Ed. then this is going to act like the Watson to Sherlock for you. The perfect sidekick. The book sums up major portions (and even more) of Ernsting’s in a relatively simpler way.
Point-wise formatting of text makes it easier to read.
For a resident in Aerospace Medicine, it’s sort of a must have for this allows you to revise the subject very fast (especially when you are up for exams)
Like all the books available on the subject, this too has its flaws. Aeromedical concerns pertaining to women in Aviation as always, have not been deliberated upon and that is a bummer. Similarly, space medicine is restricted to a single chapter thereby necessitating reading of other books like Clement Gillies or Michael Barratt.
Otherwise, a must have. And at a price of ~₹2500, its a good deal!”

Michelle Wiciak “I’m a second-year medical student who does not typically read textbooks cover-to-cover. But Robbins Pathology is definitely a textbook I read through because not only is it easy to understand difficult medical concepts, but the authors throw in fun comments. It does an amazing job integrating cell biology, histology, biochemistry, and anatomy with disease pathologies. Although it is a relatively longer textbook, it provides chock full of information that pops up on multiple question banks (UWorld, Amboss, Kaplan). I plan on using this book to study for the Pathology NBME, as well as the NBME comprehensive and STEP1.”

Vérunik “Amazing quality and very descriptive. I’m studying to become a pathologists’ assistant and I’ve been told this is the bible of Pathology. It wasn’t a lie. I keep going back to this book as a reference. 10/10 recommended”

Editorial Review

This is an excellent handbook and reference guide. Its comprehensive review of sports medicine with a focus on quickly accessible, usable information is rare in this field…its compact size and logical arrangement by body areas makes it excellent for quick
on-field review [but it is] equally useful as an office reference. Just as Harrison’s Manual of Medicine, 16th edition is in every medicine resident’s white coat, this handbook should be in every sports medicine fellow’s medical kit.

Netter’s Sports Medicine 2nd Edition PDF

We are grateful for the opportunity to carry on the widespread popularity of the first edition of Netter’s Sports Medicine, the history of Team Physician’s Handbook, and the revered anatomical graphic works of Frank Netter, MD. The second edition continues to embrace a well-organized, colorful, bulleted outline format combined with helpful Netter graphics, tables, figures, pictures, diagnostic imaging, and other medical artwork. The text hosts a national and international author base that represents the best in sports medicine today. Serving as a team physician is a unique privilege and an awesome challenge. Netter’s Sports Medicine is written for the multitude of physicians and other health care professionals who are fortunate enough to provide care to a variety of athletes and active individuals in almost any athletic setting imaginable, from pediatric to senior athletics, Little League to professional sports, weekend warrior to Olympic champion, and backcountry mountainside to Super Bowl field. The book is designed to serve as a comprehensive sports medicine resource and a ready reference in the busy outpatient office, in the training room, on the sideline, and in the long, quiet hours of preparation for sports medicine board certification. Insightful, expert, anecdotal experience fills the void where the most current evidence in sports medicine falls short, and careful considerations of controversies are mindfully presented. The sports medicine literature has grown exponentially since the first edition of Netter’s Sports Medicine and its predecessor three editions of the Team Physician’s Handbook, and many new chapters and chapter sections were added and revised to reflect the evolving depth and breadth of our exciting field. The text is divided into user-friendly sections for quick reference, and each chapter includes a Recommended Readings section limited to the best sources. We have added videos to support learning, and additional information supplementing certain chapters is available online. We welcome many new, respected authors who joined us to produce this book, and we are fortunate to continue our lasting relationship with numerous previous authors, who are leaders in their respective areas of emphasis. We thank all the authors who contributed chapters to previous texts, and whose chapter templates continue to provide a strong foundation to build upon.
