User Reviews for Current Diagnosis and Treatment Cardiology fifth Edition PDF

  1. Well written. Reasonably detailed without being overwhelming. Some chapters like cardiac amyloidosis, adult congenital heart disease (for example) were too superficial for a cardiology fellow, but are probably adequate for internal medicine. Good as a review book and also if you want to look up stuff quickly. It’s one step above a manual in that the explanations are quite detailed.

  2. Excellent book properly describes the disease etc

  3. Bad produc. Never come home.

  4. It is quite readable.

User Reviews For Current Diagnosis and Treatment Critical Care 3rd Edition PDF

  1. This book is very good, I am a pulmonary and critical care fellow starting my fellowship and I needed a book to start with. very nice book, easy approach, explain physiology and gives practical information. more than enough for medical students. very great for resident or fellows

  2. Difficult subject matter, but this book breaks critical care topics down making the subjects enjoyable to read! Helpful for new PAs entering the ICU.

  3. I am liking this book. Its a bit broad in subject matter obviously but still good reading. Its a nice reference to have at home. Usually I find myself looking stuff up after I get home from taking care of an especially sick patient. If you work in critical care I would reccommend this book.

Atlas of Immunology PDF – Medical Books

33.17 MB PDF

   Free Download Here

Preface

The Atlas of Immunology is designed to provide a pictorial reference and serve as a primary resource for the most up-to-date and thorough illustrated treatise available in the complex science of immunology. The book contains more than 1,000 illustrations and depicts essentially every concept of importance in understanding the subject matter of immunology. It is addressed to immunologists and nonimmunologists alike, including students, researchers, practitioners, and basic biomedical scientists. Use of the book does not require prior expertise. Some of the diagrams illustrate basic concepts, whereas others are designed for the specialist interested in a more detailed treatment of the subject matter of immunology. The group of illustrations is relatively complete and eliminates the need to refer to another source. The subject matter ranges from photographs of historical figures to molecular structures of recently characterized cytokines, the major histocompatibility complex molecules, immunoglobulins, and molecules of related interest to immunologists.
The subject matter is divided into chapters that follow an outline that correlates with a standard immunology textbook. This provides for a logical and sequential presentation and gives the reader ready access to each part of the subject matter as it relates to the other parts of the publication. These descriptive illustrations give the reader a concise and thorough understanding of basic immunological concepts that often intersect the purview of other basic and clinical scientific disciplines. A host of new illustrations, such as cellular adhesions molecules, is presented in a manner that facilitates better understanding of their role in intercellular and immune reactions. Figures that are pertinent to all of the immunological subspecialties, such as transplantation, autoimmunity, immunophysiology, immunopathology, antigen presentation, the T-cell receptor, to name a few, may be found in this publication. Those individuals with a need for ready access to a visual image of immunological information will want this book to be readily available in their bookshelf. No other publication provides the breadth or detail of illustrated immunological concepts as may be found in the Atlas of Immunology.

Doody’s Editorial Review

4 STAR DOODY’S REVIEW!

“I highly recommend this as a clinical resource.”

“This is the 24th edition of a practical, clinically relevant reference for pediatric providers from the student to practitioner level. The book is well organized for use as a quick reference.

The purpose is to provide an up-to-date, clinically relevant, easy-to-use reference for pediatric providers. The authors and contributors have done an excellent job of fulfilling these worthy objectives.

Intended for pediatric providers from the students to practitioners, this book is also a practical resource for nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical students, residents, fellows, and attending physicians. It can be used as a quick resource, but it also provides some background and aspects of pathophysiology, although the primary focus is on diagnosis and management. The references are relevant and up to date.

This is organized to be a practical and easily accessible reference for clinicians at every level. I really appreciate the section on the essentials of diagnosis and typical features in each chapter section. The book is well organized and presents the most important and clinically relevant information.

The figures and charts are adequate for clinicians and the references enable readers to learn more about each topic.

The authors and contributors have worked very hard to provide a reference with an emphasis on diagnosis and management, while at the same time including some background and pathophysiology. I highly recommend this as a clinical resource.”

User Reviews for Current Diagnosis and Treatment 24th Edition PDF

  1. This must be the international version of this textbook. The seller does not make this apparent for this product. Pictures are not in color and must be for the student to learn. This should be blatantly stated.

  2. What I ordered at a reasonable price. Came as expected. Happy with the outcome.

  3. As described, good information.

  4. Worst textbook I’ve ever read. Pictures are obviously old; pictures are in black and white; although the book is thorough, there are no bolded ‘key term’ or any way of knowing where the ‘focus’ or the ‘must-knows’ are.
